The Trail is a whimsical, possibly mysterious short inspired by late night episodic TV watching. It is a celebration of Sitka Trail Works, a non-profit that, along with its partners, has helped literally change the ground we walk on. This video was made by Ellen Frankenstein for Rasmuson Foundation.
This film is made in response to an artistic challenge made by the Rasmuson Foundation. The goal of the challenge: to respond creatively to the mission of a Foundation grantee in your local community. The grantee might be an institution, a project, or an artist, and there were three simple requirements:
1) work had to be under 2 minutes in length;
2) work should communicate a creative response to a grantee's or the communities' experience;
3) Work must not be about the Rasmuson Foundation or any of its' staff.
